There are movements in Islam that seek to downplay the role of the Prophets and the Aulia Allah which just does not add up. When Allah loves you then…..
With the name of Allah, most Beneficient, ever Merciful
When Allah loves you then, He calls Gibraeel (AS) and says: “Allah loves so and so, O Gibraeel love him. Gibraeel would love him and he would then make the following announcement to the residents of heaven: “Allah loves so and so and you must love them too. They will love him and then he would be granted the pleasure of the people of the earth. Bukarie – book of adab.
Obama or Michael Jackson might be famous now, but a hundred years from now not many people will remember them. On the contrary, hundreds of years have passed and still people remember and love the Prophets and the Aulia Allah.
Our Prophet Muhammad Salallhu Alayhe Wasallam is undoubtedly the most loved and the most famous man on earth. This is so because Allah loves him and He instills love for His chosen ones in the hearts of His creation.
“On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will the Most Gracious bestow Love.” Al Quraan 19:96
and in the note to this verse Yusuf Ali says: “His own Love and the love of man’s fellow creatures, in this world and in the hereafter.”
In our city, there are such people that we love and remember although they lived a hundred years ago. Hazrath Soofie Saib (RA) and Hazrath Badsha Pir (RA) are two such local icons of Durban that have stood the test of time.
Thousands of local Muslims and non Muslims talk about them, know where they rest, seek their blessings, pray for them and attend their annual urus shareef.
Does this not say something?
Peace and Salutations be upon Muhammad Salallahu Alayhe Wasallam.
