A Reformer Of Religion.
It is related that the Holy Prophet Muhammad Salallahu Alayhe wa salam has said that, “at the beginning of every century, Allah will send one who will renew religion for this people.”
The Founder of Anjuman e Waris e Mohammedi, Dr Hakim Hazrath Khwaja Sayed Shareef Ahmed Ali Shah RA (lovingly known as Hazrath Poona Wale Shah Saib RA) is one such person.
In the early 70’s, the grand, prestigious, uniting, outdoor Meelad Un Nabi that used to take place outside the Grey Street Mosque and the Muslim Brigade all collapsed and came to an end.
More importantly this collapse came about because people were deviously misled into thinking that such things were wrong.
In 1989, a decade later, Hazrath Poona Wale Shah Saib RA revived not only these important communal events of the KZN Juloos Meelad un Nabi and the AWM Brigade, but he also set about reviving religious teachings.

Based on his teachings, The Anjuman e Waris e Mohammedi has done more than a hundred contemporary articles, most being of the revival type.
Our themes over the years such as: reviving of the importance of reading Surah Al Fatiha with understanding and consciousness and not merely ritualistically is revival of praying properly.
Decades since He has left this world, his movement is stil revolutionizing the way we practice Islam and his teachings are still being unpacked.
Many productions and publications are about practical steps to take to grow our Emaan, and the important role of the Chosen Ones of Allah SWT and so forth.
