A Novel
Towards the end of the first chapter of Doolhun The Bride, Jaffar Chacha tells his company that he was going to marry a woman that he did not love. One of the boys in the company states that that did not make sense implying that love is necessary for marriage. Jaffar Chacha replies, or rather asks, ‘you tell me, if two people are in love, how can they end up divorced’. So one of the many themes of this novel is, love.
Entwined into the story of how Jaffar Chacha meets his Doolhun and lives his life, is the more important story of his spiritual journey of realizing who he is, why he is and what is the purpose of life?

and from the sayings of The Holy Prophet, peace be upon him:
“that Allah has prohibited from the fire of hell for anyone bearing witness that there is no deity but Allah and Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah with a sincere belief in his heart.” Al Hadith 1:1:2:21.
So, the main focus or goal of Islam is to guide people towards realising and knowing our Creator, ALLAH and finally, loving Him.
This is growing our faith or ’emaan’ and, as we see from the above quotations, this would grant us success in this world and the hereafter.
