Apart from this, this name, Muhammad, is announced loudly from the minarets of every mosque throughout the world, five times a day, 365 days in the year and this has been going on for the past 1400 years.
While most people do not know the name of their great grandfather, the descendants of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) can trace their lineage some forty generations back to him.
Not only is he remembered by name, but his followers for all times imitate and emulate every little thing he did.
There are volumes of books written about every little thing he did. He is the person that people pray for the most. Every Muslim, whenever he prays must pray for the Prophet (SAW) as well.
This prayer (“dua”) for the Prophet Salallahu Alayhe Wasallam is included in the form of “Durood-e-Ebrahim” which is read before terminating every cycle of prayer.
Not only is Muhammad (SAW) the pride of this world but he is also the pride of the spiritual world.
“Allah and His angles send blessings (present tense) on the Prophet (SAW)….” 33:56
This fame of the Prophet (SAW) is only a part of the promise that Allah made to him which is recorded in verse 79 of the 17th Sura which is: “Soon will thy Lord raise thee to the station of Praise & Glory (Maqame Mahmood)”
On the Day of Judgment, we will get to see the actual reality of the Prophet (SAW).
Come, let us be the instruments of Allah by being a part of His promise to make His Beloved (Mehboob) the pride of both worlds. Come, let us join the KZN Juloos Meelad Un Nabi in honour of Muhammad Al Mustafa (SAW). Come, let us celebrate the “mercy of Allah”.
